Brave Babes Guided River Sledding Adventure
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Location: Warburton, Victoria
Join us for an exclusive river sledding tour crafted just for the Brave Babes community! Designed for adventurous women in their 20s and 30s, this unique experience offers the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded women, challenge yourself, and have a blast. Get ready to ride the river like never before, with only centimeters between you and the water on this exciting 3-hour tour.
On this guided adventure, you’ll sled along 5 km of river, winding through the picturesque town of Warburton and finishing at Oscars on the Yarra. As you float downstream belly-first, you’ll experience the thrill of navigating grade 1 and 2 rapids, exploring parts of the river that are typically off-limits to the general public.
Before the fun begins, your expert guide will provide a full safety briefing and demo, and equip you with all the gear you’ll need, including a river sled, personal flotation device (PFD), helmet, and wetsuit. We’ll then shuttle you upstream to the starting point, where the journey begins. Throughout the trip, your guide will offer tips on beginner swift-water techniques, reading the rapids, and most importantly, making sure you have a safe and unforgettable time.
The river’s conditions can change daily depending on rainfall and other factors, which means every trip is different. You’ll dodge rocks, branches, and occasionally a fallen tree as you navigate the rapids. Active paddling is required to steer around obstacles, but that’s all part of the thrill of being in the great outdoors and embracing the natural river environment.
Once you’re feeling confident, try kneeling through sections of moving water or test your balance by standing up in a deep pool! It’s a fun and versatile outdoor adventure that just about anyone can enjoy.
Our 2-meter-long river sleds, made from durable PVC rafting material, are designed for both comfort and durability, helping protect you from the occasional bump along the way. To participate, you must be able to swim, be 12 years or older, at least 130 cm tall, and have the arm strength to control and manoeuvre your sled.
We can’t wait to share this exciting adventure with you!
